Thank you for another great week. We hope everyone is enjoying The Chocolate Touch!
The Boosterthon is one of our fundraisers to support next summer’s library makeover. The goal is $15,000. (If we reach this goal, Mr. Cooper will get slimed.) This video (2 m, 23 s) presents an overview of the Boosterthon.
For parents, here are instructions for logging in and registering a student for pledging on funrun.com. Parents should do this prior to October 11. (student code: 281882)
- Click “Register a Student.”
- Once your program kicks off, you can search T. Baldwin Demarest to find the school page.
- Add student’s first and last name, enter him/her into a class, allow family pledging, scroll through the terms and conditions, then click “I Agree.”
- You will then be able to View Participants Dashboard!
Students should collect pledges October 11-19. Throughout the week of October 15, students can earn prizes based on pledge money. The Boosterthon Fun Run is Friday, October 19. Each homeroom is encouraged to have two parent volunteers present. Teachers will be in touch for volunteers.
Fall conferences are during the following weeks, and we will have evening conferences on November 1, 5-7 pm.
October 15: Grade 1
October 22: Grade 2
October 29: Kindergarten
November 5: Grade 3
November 12: Grade 4
Teachers will be in touch to schedule conferences.
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
Above is our PLC schedule for the year. On these days, students will experience half-day Health & Wellness sessions while homeroom teachers take the time to collaborate and enrich themselves professionally for the benefit of our students!
