EVENTS

  • Monday, April 8: Art Appreciation Program. Each class participates for 30 minutes (and the second session is May 30). A docent will come in and present an artwork to the class. They will discuss what is depicted, what colors, and what formal qualities the artwork may have. The students act as the artwork detectives to decipher the meaning of the artwork and be able to understand and appreciate the artwork by asking questions. The docent will also give a brief Art History bio about the artist and possibly about the time era that the work was created. The main goal of this program is to get students involved in viewing art and critically thinking about it.
  • Thursday, April 11: Special Lunch – Pizza Bagels (Butterworths). For those who order, please remember to cancel your regularly scheduled Thursday order with your vendor.
  • Friday, April 12: Katey Howes author visit, grades 3-4. Ms. Howes will be joining us to share her book, do an activity with the students, and hand out the signed copies of her book that were ordered. Thank you!
